Pinedale Town is such a great place to live. There are many beautiful places to rest in. The well, the fountain, various homes, and of course the greenhouse! But, Plans told me there's one place we can't exactly go and visit. He said that the forests in front of the mountains are extremely dangerous. But... why? What made him draw that conclusion? What exactly is lurking out there? I thought to myself for a moment. Perhaps a legendary or mythical pokemon lurked in the shadows of the trees. A dark, grass, or ground type waiting to strike? Or maybe there was some sort of destruction in the forest. Oh! It's the corruption... maybe? I have no idea. I turned to Yuki, he was sitting in then grassy fields on the outskirts of town. It was a sunny day, like all the others. I felt it's warmth on my skin. A gentle, cool breeze ruffled the grass. The weather is rarely dreary this time of year. Perhaps during the winter it might rain a bit. I do love the rain... I would need to get new clothes for that time of year though. A scarf, a beanie, and definitely an umbrella. I never realized until now how much I actually lost when I left home. I say left pretty loosely though, it's not like I had a choice. But, I get to be with Plans now... Yuki chirped, which caught my attention. My thoughts trailed off as my focus was on him. I tilted my head as he pointed to the forest. There were two sections of trees in our town. The ones by the greenhouse, which are home to many friendly pokemon. The other? Well, that's what Plans had warned me about. I shook my head at Yuki. "We can't go over there, you know what Plans said..." I replied reluctantly. I didn't want to disappoint my partner pokemon. Yuki has made me really happy, and I want to do whatever he wants me to do. When I was alone, Yuki was there for me. I looked off in the distance. It didn't look that scary. Maybe Plans is making it up? I turned to Yuki and said, "Maybe one day, when we're stronger, we'll venture off into the forest." He looked up at me and nodded. I felt bad for letting him down, but I have to trust Plans for now. I have been with Plans almost all my life. But, maybe one day, I won't need him. That's quite the scary thought. I have always needed him in my life. I don't want to leave him, and I definitely don't want him to leave me. Will we always be friends? What if, one day, he changes. Or worse, what if I change. Will he still want to hang out with me? I don't really know what the future holds for us, so maybe I need to focus on this moment. I looked over at Yuki who had his eyes closed, basking in the sun. I'm so happy he's in my life! Pokemon are the best. I can't wait to grow with him for the rest of my life! (530 words) Yuki earns || 5 writing levels + 2 event bonus + 5 trainer bonus = 12 levels!

"Alright Vix, let's go..! Emme's totally out!" I whisper shouted to my partner. She smirked and ran out of the tent we were staying in temporarily. Emme has always been a morning person, although his partner pokemon isn't as similar. "Hehe~!" giggled Yuki. It's always so creepy that Psychic mons can connect to your mind! I had stood up but hadn't left the tent yet. I whipped my head over to Yuki. "Cut that out, it's creepyyyy!" I whisper shouted to him. In return, all he did was shrug and run out of the tent as well. I rolled my eyes. I guess he's coming along too. Yuki and Vixen were running around in circles and then in sync, turned to face me, when I got out. I giggled and then began to walk away. They followed behind me. I was headed towards the greenhouse. There's a multitude of trees that surround it, so I wanted to see if there was anything lurking about. After a short trek along the path, we began approaching our destination. Though, it was completely covered in forest and plantation. I assume many people probably never even knew the greenhouse was here. While lost in my thoughts, Yuki and Vixen ran ahead of me. "Hey wait up!" I exclaimed. They giggled and cried, before running ahead even faster. I quickened my pace to catch up with them. Once the greenhouse was in sight, they stopped suddenly. "Guys, you can keep going you...kno...w.." I stuttered out noticing that there was snow outside the greenhouse. "Why is there snow??" I let out, confused. Yuki looked up at me then at the blue light inside of the greenhouse. He pointed at it repeatedly, trying to tell me something. He can connect to my brain yet won't speak? Weird... "Are you saying we should check out what's inside?" I said, nervous. "What if it's something strong?" Yuki and Vixen quickly assumed their battle poses. Looks like I'll be okay, they're going to protect me. I nodded and proceeded to move ahead. Once I got close to the greenhouse I tip toed around until I could peek inside. What in the world? Before me was a pokemon with a Phione body, Amurua frills, and a Mudkip tail and fins. This must be one of those 'mixed Pokemon' I had heard about! "Hello there..." I whispered softly but enough for them to hear. They turned around with a smile on their face. They let out a cry and flew over towards me. I yelped in surprise, and they laughed at me! I felt embarrassed. Yuki and Vixen ran ahead of me and looked up in awe. They jumped trying to reach the mixed pokemon. The mixed pokemon noticed the duo below, and flew to their level. They giggled and circled around the pair. Then, Yuki and the new Pokemon locked eyes. "Their name is Mira..." Yuki spoke to me. I was startled by the sudden use of Yuki's voice in my head, but turned to Mira. "Mira..." I whispered. Mira flew up to me and rubbed their fins against my cheek. They were so happy I used their name! I can't wait to tell Emme about everything that happened tonight. Too bad he doesn't like to be up late. I hugged Mira gently. "Come with us!" I exclaimed. Mira shook their head. Seems like they are content with where they are right now. "Ah, okay..." I trailed off. Although disappointed, I understood. I watched as Mira flew away from the greenhouse. I hope maybe next time we meet, they will want to come with us. I began to exit the greenhouse myself. "Alright, I think we should get back now" I said. Yuki and Vixen ran out ahead of me to play in the snow for a moment. I continued waking, they'll follow. I'm just a little impatient. Soon enough, they saw I had continued walking. They cried and ran after me. They smiled as we walked together. "That was pretty fun, huh?" I asked. They nodded quickly and ran around me. Looks like Yuki and Vixen had a great time too! I've never seen a mixed pokemon like that before. I hope one day, we can meet Mira again. (709 words)
